Nigel Bird: IN LOCO PARENTIS
For this cover, I wanted to come up with a classic look of all those wonderful 1970’s photographic (or photorealistic) covers. As this book deals with the harsh realities one teacher has to deal with, the combination of an apple (for the teacher) and a knife felt right. Luckily both the author and the publisher were on board.
It is also a nod to the original cover of Len Deighton’s BERLIN GAME.
