A
Lurid Explanation of the Ultra-Decadent Hoegbotton & Sons
Imprint
Every so often a project lends itself to self-publication.
Sometimes the text requires perfect execution of layout and
design for success - to the point that the author and/or artist
requires complete control over those elements. Sometimes,
frankly, the material for a particular project would be hard
to pitch to a publisher because it is too esoteric. A few
of these exclusive publications may eventually be picked up
by other publishers for wider distribution and others will
never again appear in published form. For such micro publishing
events, I've decided to set up Hoegbotton & Sons, modeled
after the publishing company in my Ambergris stories. These
projects constitute LOLILE - labors of love in limited editions
- and are a direct thumb in the eye to the rather crapulous
idea of "e-books".
Upcoming
projects may include Learning to Leave the Flesh: Three Lost
Tales, and Henry and the Frog. Learning to Leave the Flesh:
Three Lost Tales is a collection of three undeservedly "lost"
stories - published in very obscure publications or not reviewed
by critics. Henry and the Frog is a children's story about
a boy with a frog in his throat. Need I say more?
