Shriek:
An Afterword
A 120,000-word novel narrated by art gallery owner Janice
Shriek about her brother, the historian Duncan Shriek,
and their odd family, supposedly originally intended
as an afterword to The Hoegbotton Guide to the Early
History of Ambergris.
The
Zamilon File
A long novella/short novel set 500 years after Shriek
in which secret agents in a war-torn Ambergris (the
gray caps have taken back the city) set off for the
monastery-fortress of Zamilon in hopes of discovering
its secrets, which may pertain to the war. Narrated
through the journals of a gray cap expert kidnapped
and forced to accompany them to Zamilon.
Fragments
of a Drowned City
Set 600 years after Shriek, this novel relates the story
of a detective who comes to an Ambergris newly flooded
by the gray caps to find a missing girl. The cover story
on City of Saints & Madmen is an excerpt from the
opening of this novel.
"Seven
Views of Albumuth Boulevard"
Seven vignettes set in the same apartment on Albumuth
Boulevard, over a period of several hundred years.
